Q1. Please introduce yourself.
Greetings ladies, gentlemen, and non-binary friends! Call me by my IGN, MrYo or just Yo in short.
I’ve been playing DN since the beta release of SEA (woah!) and have seen many changes to the game.
I’ve been there for content that is no longer available and new content released now.
Even if I don’t get chosen for the blogs, I hope whoever is reading this gets to see that
I am still very much enjoying the game even after all this time.
And whoever reads this can feel my excitement and love for the game itself as a recurring returning hero.
Q2. Please explain what made you play Dragon Nest!
Teenagers would hang out there to watch the better players play games.
The owner of the shop was playing the game to test it himself to see if it would be a good game everyone can play.
It intrigued all our simple minds of this really cool gameplay and characters
(does anyone remember the Base 4 characters hanging out at a tree during character creation or am I just old? xD).
Eventually, everyone started to make accounts and make their characters (16 cap).
Imagine kids in the game in all partying up to help each other clear dungeons for levels ahaha!
(The older kids with more experience acting as mentors to the game).
The memory is still vivid and filled with joy that it is impossible to forget about it.
As time went on, we all continued to play the game for various reasons.
Some got really into the PVP aspect of the game, some loved the cosmetics and events of it.
For me, I have always loved the story and visuals of the game.
Wherever I looked, I always loved how everything is so pretty and realistic
. The sunny, bright atmosphere of the towns, to the rainy gloom of the dungeons (on occasions),
to even the smoky fog of Black Mountain.
The world of Lagendia really felt lively with all the players running around in Calderock and Saint Haven.
I’ve also always look forward to doing the side quests and storyline of the game.
A lot of the town NPCs are unique and fun to learn about
when you take the time to do them and it helps add depth to the world
(the world-building in this is phenomenal! New features of Oh my Godess!,
the Harori Fanclub, the culture of the natives in Lotus Marsh; I absolutely love them all!)
When the migration happened, a lot of us are already grown, some have just started college,
some have graduated college, and others already have jobs.
Yet still, these aspects of Dragon Nest made us continue to play even until the merged server years later.
Q3. Do you have the most memorable moments while playing Dragon Nest?
I could tell you about the community.
The fan artists that drew wonderful art of the game in their past time.
The players that show tutorials and share in-game knowledge. The community wiki.
The developers that made the game itself and the game masters that interact with the players.
The world outside of Lagendia.
I could tell you about the story.
The entire storyline that all the characters go through (be it their altered dark forms or their base form).
I could tell you about the side quests and the stories of each NPC.
Their goals and how they feel about certain things.
I could tell you the emotions I felt during the cutscenes, Grandpa Goblin,
Mandrake Mom, and even more! (I can’t help it I’m immersed!!)
There’s so much about this game I really love and so much that I’d like to learn more that even after how many years,
how many times I took breaks from the game, it’s always something that I come back to after all this time.
My Dragon Nest has always been filled with memories and fun times.
This game has given me so much happiness as an adventurer exploring its world.
It made me discover new things and met new friends along the way.
We’ve celebrated birthdays, holidays, and even weddings in it. That’s what Dragon Nest have been and is to me.
